Warning: This chocolate pudding is finger-lickin’ good and very addictive.
You may have heard that dark chocolate is healthier than milk or white chocolate with wide range of health benefits. But did you know that much of packaged dark chocolates you see in the stores today have lost most of its nutritional value? To reap most health benefits of chocolate’s powerful antioxidants, vitamins and minerals I use their simple root forms, raw-organic cacao nibs and powder. Today, I’m using cacao powder to make Raw Chocolate Pudding to share with you.
Other than heavenly on the taste front, here are my top 2 benefits of why I’m a huge fan of cacao:
- Mood uplifter – Cacao is known to cause happiness as it releases endorphins into the brain.
- Heart protector – Flavanols in cacao has been known to help in healthy heart function by lowering blood pressure, improving blood flow to the heart and reduces chances of blood clot.
So, are you ready for this yummy number?
serving | makes 4
- 4 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tbsp smooth tahini
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 3 bananas
- ½ avocado
- cacao nibs to garnish
Tip. Buy bananas with the few dark spots as ripened bananas tend to overpower this pudding.
Mix all ingredients in a blender until creamy pudding texture. Put into favorite serving cup with cacao nibs drizzled on top. I think it’s best when served after refrigerated for an hour to set, but if you and your guests can’t wait for it, serve immediately. Enjoy!
