Super Green Smoothie

When my clients decide she or he is ready to try an elimination diet to find out what exactly it is that their gut is irritated by, the If you’re anything like me, you love starting the day on a high note. My high notes consist of feeling nourished on the inside, trim-slim-glowing on the outside all the while bursting of joyful energy – without much effort.

Yup. I said it. Hitting those high notes with this Super Green Smoothie doesn’t take much effort at all. shhhhhhh— don’t tell. Just kidding. Spread the word. My mantra = do good & be good for it shall come back to treat you well, tenfold. :)

You may use this smoothie recipe as a nourishing breakfast or have smaller servings as an afternoon pick-me-up.
For the purpose of using this smoothie as a detoxifying breakfast, most of the ingredients used in this recipe are highly alkalizing.

Whole Food Ingredients:
green chard, spinach, cucumber, lime, kiwi, arugula, avocado, fresh basil, green grapes (ripe), banana (ripe)

Super Green Smoothie - Ingredients

Superfoods, Nuts and Seeds Ingredients:

pumpkin seed, chia seed, whole psyllium husk, goji berries, coconut oil, himalaya salt, maca root powder, cacao powder, almond meal (I use the crumble/meal left rom making Frothy Almond Milk)

This is my go-to nourishing yet detoxifying Super Green Smoothie I indulge morning after morning.  I hope you love it as much as I do and keep this recipe in your back pocket for many glorious mornings to come.



For 1 serving

1. Blend together

  • 2 green chard leaves
  • handful spinach leaves
  • handful arugula
  • 3 basil leaves
  • 1/2 kiwi
  • 3 green grapes
  • 2 inches of cucumber
  • 1/3 banana (frozen or fresh)
  • 1/2 lime, juice squeezed
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • pinch of himalaya salt
  • 1.5 cup water or almond milk

2.  Sprinkle on top:

  • 1 tsp almond meal
  • 1 tsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • dash of whole psyllium husk
  • pumpkin seeds, as you wish
  • goji berries, as you wish
